Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays - and tomorrow happens to be Canadian Thanksgiving, and I happen to be Canadian. So today I give thanks to the Canada-based artists above. Press play below to listen to my new favorite Canadian band, Great Diviners! Check them out on Myspace, too.
I'm not really one to get "toasted" - but I do enjoy Weeds. The show. You know... on Showtime? I've spent the last two weeks getting up to speed, and I got to say, I'm hooked. The theme song was covered by a different guest artist for Season 3 - my favorite being Regina Spektor's version (listen above).
It's Fashion Week here in NYC... and I'm on my couch in an over sized grey sweatshirt, thinking how great it is I don't have to put pj's on I can just roll into bed like this. I happen to like clothes you can fall asleep in. I know that is not chic or "hygenic", but its who I am!!! That being said, I know I should step it up a notch. These handmade pieces look comfy and chic - my kind of style!
I've been very deliquent with my blog since moving to Brooklyn and starting my job at Etsy. But no more! I promise to post at least once a week. I think since I'm also writing for the Storque, I'll make this blog a bit more personal. A sort of my daily life + things I find that I love.
For instance! Yesterday I took a Puppet Posse class at the EtsyLabs from Crankbunny. A local animator and illustrator extraordinaire! Check out her beauteous pop-up cards and puppets:
I wen't home and made a paper puppet of a waterbear. I'll post a pick once I've colored it!
